It shows up right after the boot screen. It doesn't interfere with anything, though (not that I know of).

Hi 7-11 -
Your computer is telling you that it is about to fail very soon - The Hitachi HDD is failing and needs to be replaced A.S.A.P.
Make hard copy (CD or DVD) back-ups of any and all information that you wish to keep - Do it NOW.

The S.M.A.R.T. diagnostics built into your computer are doing its job perfectly for you -

You can post a snapshot with Speccy for more system details, but the program uses the same diagnostics -
How to Publish a snapshot with Speccy <<-- Directions

The only thing we may be able to help with is a new Hard Disk Drive suited to your system, but it can not be repaired.
If you still have a warranty, it may be worth looking into, but most are 6 or 12 months only -

Thank You -

Thanks for the response.

Actually, it's been like that for a year already.. Anyway, I think I'm going to back up some important data. But, if I may, what's the cause of this failing HDD? Old age?

And if you can help me with this other problem: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic481816.html it will be great :)

One of the best "veterans" here tried to help you on your last thread. You should follow his advice.

“May the sun bring you new energy by day, may the moon softly restore you by night, may the rain wash away your worries, may the breeze blow new strength into your being, may you walk gently thorugh the world and know it's beauty all the days of your life.”
