Computer 'gone Wrong'

Hi!

My computer has gone wrong, to be technical about it. It's working slow, it freezes up a lot, crashes frequently, sometimes will not load up or shut down properly and I keep getting messages telling me rundll32.exe has performed a 'runtime error' or an 'illegal operation.'

I'm not certain that it's spyware or such, but it seems like it might be. Here's my Hijack This log :

Hello mrsideways and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. Please print these directions and then proceed with the instructions below.

Download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
  • You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK.
  • When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES.
  • Once you click YES, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
  • Turn your computer back on.
OK. Start HijackThis and perform a new scan. Use the Add Reply button to post your new log file back here along with details of any problems you encountered performing the above steps and I will review it when it comes in.

Hello! Thanks for your reply!

However, when I try to run Vundofix as a task, it comes up with this message:

"run-time error '53':

File not found."

Then it closes down! What do I do now?

Hi mrsideways. Instead of running it as a task then just skip that step and click the Scan for Vundo button and continue with the instructions from that point.
