I had malware that hid stuff. I cleaned it up successfully. I have an old program that has some info I want to retrieve but I'm now being asked to re-register because it thinks I'm on another computer. Creator of software gone.
How do I get back in the program?

As per the forum rules:

No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures. If a user persists and/or the activity is obviously illegal the staff reserves the right to remove such content and/or ban the user. This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences.

Having said that we may, very rarely, bend the rules a little in specific cases; however, you failed to mention the name of the program and the information you want to retrieve.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
