My computer won't start. The monitor says "no input signal" and the power button just flashes.

1) What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

2) Does it sound like the hd is spinning?

3) From the meager information provided, my first guess would be a bad power supply

I don't know what the trouble was, but it is now OK. I had tried to turn it on several times without success. I left it overnight, and when I tried it the next morning it started, as though nothing had happened. I have decided to give it a clean, and inspect the internals to see if there is any sign of loose connections. Thanks.
