After doing a reinstall of my AV for the previous problem I described, things ran smoothly for a couple of months, until today. I shut my computer down as per normal this morning, then when I went to turn it back on it powers up but doesn't boot (the wireless assistant button doesn't turn from red to white, but lights up, along with the power button and the capslock; none of the lights blink at all once it's turned on), and my monitor doesn't light up).

It's also getting very hot to the touch after running for a short time - possibly a fan malfunction that's keeping it from booting?

Make and model is Compaq Hewlett Packard Presario CQ62 Notebook, running Windows 7.
