I am about 12 feet from the wireless router. Redirected from 1. Windows 7 Forum and 2. Malware Removal Forum. I have been working on this problem all month. I started because I could not use the internet on the Win 7 side of the system but it was totally functional on the guest side. I have come some distance as the internet on the host now connects and I can navigate to web sites. The problem now is that it takes between 1.5-3 mins (timed) to move to any link clicked while on any site. In safe mode with networking however there is no problem with functionality. Also totally functional is the internet on the XP side of the system. Lastly, are the connection bars at the lower right of screen supposed to be green? They have never been green though if you open the Network by click on the bars it shows that it is fully connected at 54--excellent strength. Thanks for looking at this.

Go into the start menu and the run command. Type services.msc look for security accounts manager service and select start next look for remote proceedure protocol and start that service as well. Let me know if you can't find the services or they are already running.

Many thanks for your reply. I found two: Remote Procedure Call (RPC) >which is running<, and a Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator >which is not running but seems to be for earlier operating systems??< Nothing that said exactly as you phrased it...Remote Proc3edure protocol.

Please run the program from the following link Get Services When Windows explorer opens click on extract at the top of the screen. Extract the zip file to your C: drive. Once it is extracted there will be a directory on your C: drive called ServiceFilter. Inside the C:\ServiceFilter directory will be a file called ServiceFilter.vbs. Simply double-click on the ServiceFilter.vbs. When the script finishes a wordpad document should open with the unknown services listed in it. When pasting the log in your next reply Please put

Go into device management by selecting run from the start menu (or hold the Windows key and press R) type Devmgmt.msc When device manager opens click on View at the top of the screen. Select show Hidden Devices. Locate the entry Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: and disable it.

Edit: Are you using XPMode for Windows, Virtual Box, Or Microsoft Virtual PC?

Thanks for your posts. I had no better luck with the GetServices. I could never find a file on my C: directory called "ServiceFilter". Though I tryed the procedure numerous times.
I did manage to find and disable the Tunnel adapter Teredo TPI in device manager (hidden files).

I am using XPMode for Virtual PC. Thanks again.

Maybe I didn't mention that the internet works perfectly in Windows 7 side of my computer if it is in Safemode with networking?? So I suppose that my problem must involve something beyond the basic setup. What should I be looking at?
Thanks..know that you are busy and yet generous enough to help.

Just to reiterate so we are clear....the network/internet connection is functioning. My problem is in moving around once I am on any particular
site. It takes between 1.5-3 minutes after clicking on any clink on the site for a response...but it does eventually respond. This is not the case either on my virtual machine XP pro or on Windows 7 in safe mode. Thanks again.
