I finally cleaned up my event log and only have 2 errors left. They show up in the event log after reboot. They are as follows.

1.) Event ID: 7026 The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: Beep
Source: Service Control Manager Eventlog Provider

2.) Event ID: 46 Crash dump initialization failed!
Source: volmgr

Event 1
Research shows that in the system\adv settings\startup and recovery\settings\system failure
I should check the "write an event to system log" but the box DOES NOT stay checked.

Event 2
Haven't found much on this event. My beep.sys file is missing from the C:\windows\system32 directory.

Any ideas and assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance

There is a workaround at Microsoft Support which also has an automated "Fix It" which may resolve your problem with the Event ID: 7026. You can read about it here.

There is a similar workaround for the Event ID: 46, you can read it here.

dc3,

Thank you
The workaround for the 7026 seemed to work...but the link for the event id 46 was for id 4107 or 11...not 46....
Thanks again for the assistance.!!!!
