I believe the HD is failing on the family computer. My question is, how do I go about migrating the operating system and data to a new HD. I use Carbonite, so I'm good to go as far as a back-up. It's an HP machine running Vista that I bought at Best Buy.

What has led to you believe that your hdd needs to be replaced?

Please post the model of this HP?
