Compaq not starting up (Black screen of Death)

I had disassembled a Compaq PC to use as a server.
I have NO DVD/CD Disk Reader.
But that's NOT the problem.
The problem is in the topic title (Black Screen of Death).
It refuses to start up but it powers up.
If ANYONE has a solution, PLEASE RESPOND!

P.S Now there is an additional problem.
I've noticed that the hard disk isn't making any sounds unless
I unplug the hard disk from the motherboard.
It would make sound if it is unplugged from the motherboard.
