Hi
I can't seem to to be able to install my HP 1410 all in one printer. i am getting the message that the operation cannot be completed as the print spooler service is not running. i did net start spooler. i also cleaned out all the drivers and those from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors key and click the plus (+) beside Monitors.. No success. i am running XP pro SP2. Can someone help me please.

Hi Andy.
Did you check to see if the print spooler service is disabled or is actually not listed as "Started" under Status?
Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services.

Did you remove the entire keys or just the drivers?

See if the following gives any help:
