Lately when I turn on my laptop I get a Microsoft AntiSpyware Alert that says "Warning: Bluestream Adware is trying to install." I click to remove it, and after it is removed, it asks for a complete scan. The scan results always say "Item detected: Search Centrix (Browser Modifier)." Before I remove it, it names 4 files that are found, which is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Dynamic toolbar\Realbar.

It doesn't seem to uninstall by using Microsoft AntiSpyware. Is there a way to remove the Realbar & have this not come up when I turn on my computer?

I haven't downloaded any new programs & don't know where this came up. It is irritating!

I hope someone can help me. I would prefer to not have to buy something to remove it. I have used Spybot, Ad-aware by Lavasoft, and Microsoft AntiSpyware, and it still comes up every time I start up.

I have Windows XP Home Addition & am using Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Please perform this online scan:
Panda ActiveScan
ActiveScan does not remove adware/spyware but will autoclean for viruses & worms.

The scan results should include this entry.
Spyware:spyware/searchcentrix No disinfected HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\DYNAMIC TOOLBAR

If so, go to Start-> Run and type: regedit
Click OK.
Go to File-> Export and save the registry as a backup.
Then navigate to:

Reboot when done.
