Well, SANS Ouch! January 2013 has started the year off with one of my favorite subjects.

The paper below only discusses JAVA, not Javascript, and they state such in the paper.
And, their warning/recommendation makes me feel very good. The paper is only 3 pages, and well worth the read.

My Reader's Digest version of this is, "Do not install Java unless you absolutely need it".
