Bios problem with my new computer

I just bought a new laptop computer its an Asus K55VD it has windows 8 on it I upgraded all of the drivers and upgraded the bios through winflash. After I upgrade my bios the moment the computer powered down and rebooted all it does it go into the bios I can access windows or anything. Can somebody please help me I'm at my wits end

Ram: 6GB
Video: nVidia 610m 2GB

get a windows recovery DVD  and get to command promt. Run  diskpart  -> list disk  and if your harddrive doesnt show up, then that's bad news. option 2 is take out the harddive from your laptop and hook it up to a different machine, preferably a tower pc with a usb cable and see if it recognizes it.   let me know

it can alse be a setting in the BIOS, go to boot options and see if your HDD is listed as active
