Network Disconnection problem with Win8 Qualcomm Atheros adapter

Make and model of computer
Acer Aspire V3- 771G-9809
OS win8
Network adapter qualcomm atheros AR5BWB222 wireless network adapter

How the computer is connected (wireless or wired)
wirelessly

Make and model of Router
N300 WIRELESS ROUTER WNR2000

Approximate Distance From the router the PC is if its a wireless connection
about 30 feet (though I get disconnected no matter the distance)

What type of internet you have (Dsl, Cable, T-1,etc..)
Cable through comcast

stuff I've already tried
made sure my drivers are updated to latest(v10.0.0.217), reverted driver to previous version (v10.0.0.75), disallowed power management to turn device off... basically everything in the acer tech support script upto resetting my win8 install.
