Microsoft released update kb2798897 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2798897) the following certificates to the untrusted list:

  • *.google.com issued by *.EGO.GOV.TR
  • e-islem.kktcmerkezbankasi.org issued by TURKTRUST Elektronik Sunucu Sertifikasi Hizmetleri
  • *.EGO.GOV.TR issued by TURKTRUST Elektronik Sunucu Sertifikasi Hizmetleri

Neither of my Windows 7 PC received these updates nor the revoked certificates that was supposed to come in automatically. I checked my log and there is an entry in CAPI2 on January 3, 2013 that says Successful auto update of disallowed certificate list with effective date: Monday, December 31, 2012 11:50:01 PM so my certifcate retrival system is working. Is there any way to "force check" for revoked certificates?

Also, when I install the update, the friendly name for all untrusted certificates turned to <none>.

Edit: I manually checked the revokation certficate at http://ctldl.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/disallowedcertstl.cab as per the links mention at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2677070 and the certfication update date was Monday, December 31, 2012 .

Windows update was released today but I did NOT get the update to add the certificates to the untrusted store. Can you check your untrusted publishers certificate stores by going to Internet Explorers --> Content --> Publishers. Then click on "untrusted publishers" to see if the following certificates are listed there:

  • google.com issued by *.EGO.GOV.TR
  • e-islem.kktcmerkezbankasi.org issued by TURKTRUST Elektronik Sunucu Sertifikasi Hizmetleri
  • *.EGO.GOV.TR issued by TURKTRUST Elektronik Sunucu Sertifikasi Hizmetleri
