Hello,

Was having trouble with an old laptop running XP home edition. Decided to to do a windows reinstall from the recovery module that is built into the computer. I wanted to reinstall my Trend Micro AV but an error messege popped up saying I should update windows as well as IE. I tried to update but can't do so. I have since learned that XP is no longer supported, is that true and if so does that mean I will never be able update?

Thanks for any help,

Ken

What service pack do you have? Maybe you need to update to SP3.

Windows XP is supported until 08/2014, but you must have SP3 to get updates.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I don't have sp3 and have no way to download it. Some form of Linux is in order I guess. I'll do some research and see what distribution will work the best. Anyway, thanks again for the help. :)
