At one point I was hijacked. I have done everything listed to clean my system. I have adaware, spybot, and hijackthis. I also ran AVG. My search pane in IE 6.0 is not showing the right options to search. It only shows one little box labeled MSN, when I try to change the options I rather get no options to choose from or just two. I have also tried the repair in Add/Remove Programs for IE.

When I click on the search button I am used to the little list you get on the left side where u can choose what you are searching for, like address, word, web page containing etc. That is no longer there. I had originally posted this in the hijack forum, but was redirected here. I hope someone can help me and I thank you.

NOTE: This is a registry edit. If you're not familiar with working in the registry, DO NOT ATTEMPT.
Improper changes to the registry could render your computer inoperable.
Remember to backup the registry before making any changes.
Instructions, on how to do that, can be found here:
How to back up, edit, and restore the registry

I am sorry I forgot to mention, I am working with Win98SE.
Also, I am familiar with editing the registry, but I am not sure where to find the key you referred to 229? I am not super good at this obviously  , but I will give it a try. :flowers:
