ipv4 address incorrect and cant get DNS

Help!! I have a Dell Inspiron 17r that had a bit of a malware infection gringo was helping me with. I normally connect to a Netgear WNDR 3700v3 router but my internet settings are messed up. Normally the machine has connected from 40-50 feet away but i cant even get it to connect on a network cable. I have road runner for internet.

Let's do a quick release/ renew

Start > cmd.exe

Type:

ipconfig /release <enter>

ipconfig /renew <enter>

I get error message on the wireless connection that the RPC server is unavailable on both release and renew requests
