No such legal disk, from what I see.

Media Center's last version was in 2005, while SP3 debuted in 2008 and Media Center CDs were not being updated to include SP3.

I can't get mt Automatic Updates to work. I have no idea what happened to cause this problem. I have spent 2 days trying to download something to fix. Nothing works.

I figured my last resort would be to use the SP3 CD.

I appreciate your help,....
Yes a couple of times now.

My "wuauserv" (is missing service)from a couple of other solutions that I have tried. I've tried to enable it again. For some reason it will not. You can click on anything, but it will not take.

I ordered a XP SP3 CD from Microsoft for $3.99 - 1 to 3 weeks..... :(

That CD you ordered...I suspect that it is just SP3, not the entire XP install CD.

If thzt is what you intended to install...it is readily available for download at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24 .

I have tried that link at least 50 times. It starts off really well and about 2/3rd's the way through the install I get an error message "Access Denied",... It just will not go.

The CD I ordered was: Windows XP Service Pack 3-NA. Windows XP Professional SP3 English Patch CD Pro/Home

That appears to just be SP3 on CD.
