I have all of my music (approx. 20000 songs) located in 'My Music' on an external disk drive. Somehow iTunes version 11 is showing 7000 duplicates. Also, there are many albums of songs that iTunes is unable to find. I would like to completely re-build the iTunes database. Can I do this by uninstalling iTunes, re-installing it and then selecting the main music folder to start the database of songs from scratch?

Hi Mate -
I have noticed that you are having a bit of trouble with this new iTunes system for a while now.
Have you searched for an iTunes forum that may be of more direct help than our "general" helping for this problem ??

Not that we are unable to help, but it takes a lot of time to rsearch each time you ask the same question -
iTunes for Windows is a good place for you to ask about iTunes :thumbup2:

Regards -

Thanks. I'll give it a try.
