I have Formac Disk Mini external drive that I've used on my own XP comp with no problems. I'm trying to access the data on a different comp (specs below) and while it recognises and shows the drive as a device, it doesn't appear in Computer with the other drives, so I can't access the data.

New comp specs:

Windows 7 Home SP1
Intel Core i3 CPU M 350 @ 2.27gHz
4.0 GB RAM

What model Formac drive?

Does the drive appear in Disk Management?

Try the drive on a 3d computer? It appears to be plug-and-play?
