I have a linksys router with 2 pcs attached. My printer is wireless and my laptop is. My laptop takes like a minute or two to get connected when it starts. Other laptops don't take so long and my desktop is quick. I have shut off everything in start up that could be taking priority and I have cleaned out temps and also found no malware or viruses. Please help if you have any suggestions. It is a Lenovo think pad about 1.5 yrs old.

Have you tried clearing/removing your Manage Wireless Network profiles? Go to Network and Sharing Network - Manage Wireless Network and right-click removed other previously connected networks and leave only the Linksys SSID home network. I would presume that your in Windows 7. Please check also if there are latest wifi driver version release from the manufacturing support site. Sometime removing the Linksys network profile from manage wireless network and manually registering to the home network again would help.
