Hey guys, hope you are enjoying your holidays. I am experiencing a problem with my HP Laptop after a recent system restore. About a month ago, a virus infected my computer which prevented it from booting up. Frustrated from trying to fix it, I simply backed up all my files and restored the laptop. It works just like before now, no problems with using it. The only thing is, the computer will only stay on when plugged in from the AC. When I unplug it, it immediately shuts off. Hovering over the battery icon, it says "0% available (plugged in, not charging)". I didn't have this problem before the virus. Does anyone know why the battery will not charge? Also, I know it is not a problem with the charger, because it worked on another HP laptop. I have a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC dv7 running Windows 7.
