checker.exe the most annoying file that randomly appears on your process list.

so once i installed some programs like xsplit and teamviewer on one of my compyters and i noticed that an annoying program would come to my process list on taskmanager and start interrupter me. its called "checker.exe" i also have a driver installed for playstation eye camera. but before i didnt had this problem and all the sudden this file start running from the temp folder on my computer and i tried searching this file and see if there is a specific location for it but i couldnt find anywere. i tried scanning my computer with ESET nod 32 and i still coudnt find out if its a virus or what. its annying me. every time it opens by itself randomly it acts like pushing the letter "q" on my keyboard. and when im playing battlefield 3 it pushes q and starts spotting for me. help me get rid of this file. if i delete if from the process if comes back. even if i go to its location and delete if from there.

dude i have the same problem. i searched checker.exe on my computer and i found so many of it on temp folders. i did the same that you did and i couldnt delete it pertinently. it also types the letter "q" when im on a game or writing something.

MiniToolBox
Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.Checkmark the following checkboxes:
  • Flush DNS
  • Report IE Proxy Settings
  • Reset IE Proxy Settings
  • Report FF Proxy Settings
  • Reset FF Proxy Settings
  • List content of Hosts
  • List IP configuration
  • List Winsock Entries
  • List last 10 Event Viewer log
  • List Installed Programs
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Click Go and post the result (Result.txt). A copy of Result.txt will be saved in the same directory the tool is run. Note: When using "Reset FF Proxy Settings" option Firefox should be closed.

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Delete.
  • Confirm each time with Ok.
  • You will be prompted to restart your computer. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.
