Stupid me -- I got into an adult porno site. Apparently there may be child porn on the same site. A site protector has locked me out of my system and is blackmailing me into paying $300 to get an access code to get back into my system. I honestly did not access child porn. I am given 48 hours to pay up or they state they will turn me into the feds for prosecution. Also, states to not try to eliminate this threat or they will permanently lock me out. Should I restart in safemode and try to eliminate this threat? About 24 hours left. I have Combofix on a separate thumb drive. Thanks for your help...e-mail removed to protect from spambots. ~ OB

Welcome to BC!

Sorry for the delay. Before I try to help you I am going to need some more info from you.

Please list the following:
Your Operating System.
Weather or not you can get into Safemode, any version of Safemode will work if you can get into safemode without the malware loading.
If you have done any type of cleanup please post all logs.

You may try to disconnect your internet connection if that is possible, sometimes this helps keep the malware from loading but not always.

This stuff comes from all sorts of sites, "good" sites are just as infected.

Make sure that you go to a clean PC and change ALL of your online passwords. Certain malware can allow a hacker to get your personal info.
