I attempted to move my Win 7 OS from a smaller (original) drive to a new "used" larger HDD.

Unfortunately I wound up with the boot files and system files on separate HDD and cannot boot from the disc I moved the OS too without the original HDD configured into the system.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm by no means an expert, so take my advice with caution. That said, I believe that if you move the M drive off disk 0, you could mirror the C drive in the vacant space on 0, then pull disk 1 and you'd be all set. Just be sure to set your Cmos to boot from drive 0.
