I have an HP desktop p7-1020 that I came home to completely crashed. All I get is the black screen "invalid system disk..insert and press any key to continue" when I press a key I get no operating system. This isn't my computer and no recovery disks were ever made. HP wants to charge me to have it repaired. Do I have any other options?

I can get to the BIOS screen with F10 but hitting F11 for system recovery It goes right to the black screen. This computer also has no floppy drive and was running windows 7 if that's helpful
