Hullo everyone! I'm desperately hoping someone out there can give me a simple fix for computer.

I just got back from traveling to find my computer (an older PC, running WinXP, if it matters...) unplugged and moved. When I got everything put back together, I found my keyboard isn't working. I checked the connections, and even snagged a different keyboard to test, and I'm still getting the same situation-a blinking cursor but no response when I try to type.

Any suggestions?

I'm sure you checked, but could you have the mouse and keyboard reversed.

 I didn't check it originally, but the new keyboard is USB, and the mouse is whatever you call the little color coded jacks. Thanks though!

Is it just the keyboard that's not working?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Well that would rule that out.

FYI the little colored jacks are PS/2.

But you said in your original post that you had the cursor blinking and it wouldn't type anything but do you get into windows xp?
