Hello and welcome aboard.. :thumbsup:

==

Please print these instructions out, or write them down, as you can't read them during the fix.

Please download smitRem.exe ©noahdfear, and save the file to your desktop.
Double-click on the file to extract it to it's own folder on the desktop.

==

Next, please download FixSQ.reg to your desktop by right-clicking on the following link and then selecting Save Link As or Save File as, depending on your browser. Double-click the zip file on the desktop and extract it to it's own folder.

==

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only.

Do NOT run it yet.

==

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

==

Once in Safe Mode, please go to Add/remove programs in your Control Panel and uninstall the following entry (if present):

SpywareQuake

***if the computer asks for you to let it reboot DO NOT allow it.

==

Go to your desktop and double-click on the FixSQ.reg file that you downloaded earlier. When it asks if you would like to merge the information, press the Yes button and then the OK button.

==

Run a scan with HijackThis and check the following object for removal if present:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SpywareQuake] C:\Program Files\SpywareQuake\SpywareQuake.exe /h

Now close ALL other open windows except for HijackThis and hit FIX CHECKED.

==

Open the smitRem folder, then double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts on screen.
Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish.

The tool will create a log named smitfiles.txt in the root of your drive, eg; Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log along with all others requested in your next reply.

==

Next go to Control Panel click Display > Desktop > Customize Desktop > Web > Uncheck "Security Info" if present.

==

Now, please navigate to and delete the following folder & files if present (if not found, please jump to the next step):

C:\Program Files\SpywareQuake\
C:\WINDOWS\system32\stickrep.dll

==

Run ATF Cleaner:Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
If you use Firefox browserClick Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
If you use Opera browserClick Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu.

==

Now, reboot back into Normal mode, post back with all contents of the SmitFiles.txt log, along with a fresh HijackThis log. :flowers:
