AVG Security. Vista Home. Dell 530 Inspiron. 64 bit operating system.

Invaded. Trojan PUM.UserWLoad detected by AVG and Malewarebytes. Comes back each time after rebotting.

My knowledge manuvering and following directions is pretty good, virus stuff little.

Outside of acting sluggish and having to resign in to everything from Yahoo to my fantasy football nothing bad....yet, but read this is a nasty one.

Was here in the winter and "Gringo" was great. utmost respect for this website.

I do have a clean laptop for backup use and research.

* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.

Download Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit from HERE
  • Unzip downloaded file.
  • Open the folder where the contents were unzipped and run mbar.exe
  • Follow the instructions in the wizard to update and allow the program to scan your computer for threats.
  • DO NOT click on the Cleanup button. Simply exit the program.
  • When done, please post the two logs produced they will be in the MBAR folder..... mbar-log-xxxxx.txt and system-log.txt

I am using WinRar to unzip.

In the folder there are some extensions and a couple of Rich Text documents, but no folders of any kind with results.

Have clicked on everything. There is nothing dated today.

It found 27 malware .

Have done search, everything to find.

Sorry for my difficulty, I know it must be frustrating.

My instructions CLEARLY said:

DO NOT click on the Cleanup button. Simply exit the program.

You didn't follow.

You're infected with ZeroAccess rootkit.
It'll require elevated help.

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at Step 6. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues, what you have done to resolve them, and a link to this topic.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.
