I have a Hp Media Center Edition Computor and my Windows Media Center OS was wiped. So i went looking around for a free noname version of a MCE OS. I found a linux based on MythTV, KnoppMyth linux. So i went to install it like i did for my other linux but this one isnt seeing any partitions. It see's my harddrive as a whole and wont let me touch anything on it because it has a write-protection on it. I have no idea what to do next so if any one knows anything about it, i wound appreciate any Comments or helpful suggestions.
Thanks

Crasher

If it is a Dell, you can do what they call a PC-Restore. It restores the pc to factory settings. Reboot the computer and when the Dell logo comes up, press the F11 button. A screen will come up saying something like "Symantec System Restore". Click the button that tells it will restore the PC. DO NOT click the reboot button. Then wait for a few minutes, and whalla! Windows XP is back to normal. The only downfall is you will loose All data. So back-up your work if you want to save things. If you have any questions, send me a Private Message (PM).
