Hi there one and all...

I'm th' new kid on the block. I'm running Xp (SP3) on a 3 year old Do-it-yourself computer (only 2 Gb RAM.) I'll be interested in hardware issues, Xp - Win7 compatibility issues, among other things.

I'm looking forward to being enlightened by all of you.

:welcome: I suspect that checking the motherboard makers website you'll find drivers for windows 7 if it is only three years old. If they have drivers then compatibility should not be a problem.
However there is no upgrade path from XP to Windows 7 that keeps all the settings and programs. Even the upgrade version will only do a clean install after putting the Windows XP folder on the side in a windows.old type folder.
