I have a Toshiba Laptop running Windows 7.

My DVD Player which came with the laptop has been missing. I have restarted many times and sometimes it shows up and other times it doesn't. Please help with this issue as it is really frustrating when i need to do anything

Something to try if you haven't already done so:

Go to Device Manager.

Look under DVD/CD-rom drives.

If you see the device listed RIGHT click on it. Choose Uninstall. Confirm that you want to uninstall.

After the install reboot the computer. It should find the device and reinstall it.
