[SOLVED] monitor not working

hi there i have a gaming pc where the monitor just wont come on thought it was the graphics card but a new one hasent solved the issue its running windows 8. it wont even come up with bios. posible motherboard issue?????

If you have tried two video cards and it wont even come on in bios it sounds like an issue with the monitor.

What happens when you go into the settings menu on the monitor? Can you see it? Have you checked the pins on the cable ends?

the monitor works with the same cable connected to a diffrent p.c the cable is fine and the monitor is fine was looking through the internet yesterday and i think the pci has gone on the board. i have ordered a new board from ebay so fingers ctrossed it will work.
