I have noticed recently that any atachment/file that i download from e mails or in this case the new version of the hijack this program, it is opened automatically by WORKS DATABASE. why is this and how can i change this?

Its probably because your opening it directly from a temp file and it exists as a temp file some where.

DOwnload the HJT from the above link and save it to your hard drive. Then right click on that file and extract it to your ard drive. it will createa hijackthis folder. Run it frrm that folder
