Hello there, new user here. I'm having similar error with booting after (possibly unrelated) downloading an upgrade of Adobe Flashplayer. I fell asleep so the computer ran about six hours. when I returned the screen display finally responded displaying window notifying of low virtual memory and windows was increasing its size. However seemed to get stuck & wasn't responding so I had to eventually unplug ( knowing this can create problems ). Upon startup, thats when the boot issue began. A blank screen reading Windows couldn't boot, missing or corrupt ntoskrnl.exe file. I may have caused this file corrupting by cutting power. Without the xp disc, what advice correcting this issue on a Gateway, Windows XP loaded computer? Jonny Z
