I just built a new computer with an FX-8150 processor. I am a little bit worried about how much it is heating up though. The idle temps seem to be fine at around 14C, but after running Prime 95 the temp quickly gets up to 55C and seems to stabilize around there. Also while gaming it gets up to around the same temp. What worries me is I believe the max temp recommended for these is 61C. Is 55C too high or am I ok?
Thanks.

If you are getting 55c while using Prime 95 I would think that you will be fine. Prime 95 is used to stress overclocked computers to see how stable they are.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Oh ok. Thanks. I don't plan on overclocking, so hopefully I should be good. I was just worried seeing my temp within 5 or 6 degrees of the max recommended temp.
