My wife downloaded a game called minecraft and all of a sudden I found a tool bar called search.alot.com. I have read that it is a virus. I am having trouble removing it though. Can you help me remove this virus? I am using windows xp, and firefox as a browser.

Hello -

First -

Install both programs, and Check for Updates -
Now run a Full scan with both programs and post the scan logs back here -

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

Close all open programs and internet browsers.
Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool. Vista and Win7 users, Right click and select Run As Admin.
Click on Delete.
Confirm each time with OK.
Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open on Desktop after the restart.
Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.
