Here are a few of mine (I omit firewalls and anti-malware applications, as well as unique applications to connect to the workplace mainframe, and hardware software) that I use most often and could not live without:

1. Mozilla Suite
2. Ff and Tb
3. OpenOffice.org
4. MS Office (and Project and Access)
5. Irfanview
6. Eraser
7. Nero
8. MSN Messenger
