Hey all, I have just re-setup my computer in RAID 1+0 after hearing about how its better than RAID 0+1. I want to know if I can simply use my large HDD as a 5th disk that isnt a part of the RAID setup to backup the files. I know that the chances of failure are low already, but I really dont want to lose the documents I have.
If I can, would it be better for my computer to backup files to the HDD every week persay or at the same time it does the other drives. I have a feeling "at the same time" would slow down the system and that would defeat the purpose of the RAID setup.
