My OS is Windows xp home 32bit service pack 3 anti virus and firewall are comodointernet security premium.

I am seeing several entries in my event viewer entries in my event viewer by stating logon process is Avapi also it is at times that I am not logged on yet it is loggedon under my user account.

It states date and time and type is success A event ID 528
user is listed as a combo of my pc's name and my user account
computer is mine Description is : Successful Logon:

User namexxxx Domainxxxxx logon ID (0x0.0x858C6F) Logon type is 2 Logon Process Advapi Authentication Package Negotiate
Work Staation name ...... Logon GUID

Can you tell what this is . Also I have many strane logons and entries in my event viewer but lets start with this one.

My system appears to be clean according to my ani virus so I just dont know. But about 60% of the time when I turn my pc off I get this error Are you sure you want to logoff other users are logged on and it may cause them to lose some of there data . Let me tell you I am the only user of this computer and other than the built in admin account no other user accounts have been set up but I have noticed in the event logs that something is turning the switch user on when I want it turned off.

Hello eggsbird -
Have you run a recent Updated scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free ??

First question, is this found as a .dll or a .exe, as the .exe is at times unwanted -
Filename: Advapi.exe - Description: Added by the NETDEVIL. WORM! (from BleepingComputer data base)
Extra -
"Advapi32.dll is an Advanced Windows 32 base API DLL file; it is an API services library that supports security and registry calls."

The highlighting is the reason for asking about .dll or .exe -

Thank You -
EDIT -
Please ignore the given link above and use This One for description of Netdevil. Worm -

What do you make of my logs showing switch user being turned on when I have it set to be off?
