Hello:
Yesterday I received and installed my new Intel 520 480GB SSD. As per instructions I downloaded the migration software and the software toolbox. The data migration went well. No problems. After migration I followed instructions and downloaded the toolbox and installed. I ran the toolbox and took the actions that the scan results indicated were necessary. All went well. No problems. Checked for firmware updates and all other suggested items.
This morning when I started my computer, I tried to run the toolbox and received a message that stated the selected drive was disconnected. It also stated that this software would not work if SMART was disabled.
Can someone please help me figure out how to enable the SMART? I uninstalled the Intel software toolbox (3.1.2) and reinstalled the software and still have the same problem. Helpful information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should be able to enable SMART in the BIOS.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Thanks for your reply. I have been into the BIOS and I can not find anything that is titled SMART Monitor. I have ports 1-4 set up as AHCI and ports 5-6 set to IDE. My SSD is on port 1 and my optical drives are on ports 5 and 6.
My Motherboard is Asus M4A89GTD PRO USB. If you have further information I would be most willing to follow your instructions. Thanks in advance.

Do you know who the manufacturer is of the BIOS, and the version?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
