Hi Guys,

Was infected with a virus a couple of months ago. Ran combofix and a few other tools. Successfully got rid of it.

However now Windows Firewall/Defender wont start.

I've tried merging reg keys, etc. BFE is apparently running, however I still cant enable the firewall.

When I click on it within the control panel I see:

"Windows Firewall is not using the recommended settings to protect your computer"

When I click on use recommended settings, nothing happens.

When I try and enable Windows Defender I get:

"The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices assosciated with it.

Need gurus to help me troubleshoot :)
