Is there such a thing as a "wireless USB hub"? In other words, the single USB cable that normally attaches to your computer and the other end to the USB Hub would instead be replaced with a wireless WiFi transciever that transmits and receives the data signal to and from the hub which could be remotely located in a more convienant location.

Thank you

Belkin Wireless USB hub F5U302ea review - The first proper Wireless USB product to make it off the drawing board -

Not a great review, but if you Google wireless USB hub there are many more recent items.
I only included the date etc, to show that the idea / application has been around for a few years -

This Listing is a lot more recent -
Wirelessly connect your PC to scanners, printers, iPod devices, hard drives, and more with 4-Port Wireless USB 2.0 Hub from Belkin®. The Cable-Free USB Hub

Hope this gives you some leads -
