HP mini 100e Problems at Startup

I use a Hp mini 100e laptop and the problem i am facing is i've not been able to access it in days, whenever i pressed the power button, it wont boot up, only performs SMART self test continuously until the power is dead or when i power off again. please what do i do? Thanks.

Well...the fact that SMART is engaged...would tell me that the hard drive may be a problem.

I would run the appropriate hard drive diagnostic to check for functionality.

If you cannot use the HP tools...follow the instructions for using SeaTools for DOS to check the hard drive. Long test is preferred.
