There are many posts here that contain log files of active components.

I have to ask just what files are the FBI Virus? I've been chasing this mean little s&*t all over my laptop without success. Once the NIC is active the virus pops-up. Where is it? I've removed the HD and scanned on another PC using half dozen different cleaners. Removed the pagefile. Dumped all the temps. Searched the registry for startups and yet the d^&m virus pops up when the NIC is enabled. Is it embedded in the protocol stack or driver?

This PC is going to be rebuilt as there are 8 hours of work invested, so any further attempts to troubleshoot are over. Just help me understand where or which files are causing the problem.

Thanks
