Hey!
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!
I apologize if I am posting in the wrong forum but:
Has any of you had any experience with tv tuners for a laptop.

I am running Windows vista and I have the laptop in my kitchen. I am looking for something that lets me watch tv in it and possibly record live tv. Something that's not as expensive as buying a small tv for the kitchen-breakfast room, but it seems that with tv tuners pretty much your mileage may vary. I have an OTA antenna that can be plugged in to the tv tuner instead of the small antennas that usually come with them.

Anyhow, do y'all have comments/advices/experiences to share?

God bless you all

Martin

I have had experience with both ATI and Hauppauge capture cards...mine were internal but that's not a big difference.

I would suggest looking at the USB capture devices by Hauppauge, http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/prods_hvr_external.html .

When you decide you have an interest in one, you can use www.bizrate.com to get a fix on who has the lowest delivered price.
