Hi, I make fishing lures for a living, but don't fish, much. Live in Central Missouri.
I also make prototypes and make all kinds of molds. I have a Cad program that is giving me trouble.
I have the same problem on 2 computers, XP Pro and XP Home. Home is updated but Pro will not update on some NEt stuff. I don't think that this is any problem at this point. I upgraded one of my Cad programs, BobCad Ver 25 (BC), on both computers. There is a setting in BC that tells the program to use certain files with the program. this will not save on either program. BC support says it is not saving to the registry and I need to reinstall XP. I am trying to avoid this if possible. I have a 3rd computer that has a fresh install of XP, not updated, and BC on it works like it should. I have posted on a forum for BC and nobody else seems to have this problem. I thought it might be because of XP, but others have XP and it works fine for them. I have downloaded the Dial a Fix to see if it will help. I have not used it yet. Does anyone have a clue what I could do? From what I have read, XP cannot be reinstalled without having to reinstall all programs.

update on Net stuff?

if you are talking about .Net Framework I think you have to have SP3 in order to update the Framework. I am not keen on xp though, you might want want to repost this thread in an XP forum. this forum is for introductions and will likely get overlooked by someone that is more qualified to answer your qustion
