Is PC Doctor 5 something I need? Can I remove it and not have problems?

Is this pre-installed software from the manufacturer. Or is this something you downloaded or bought and installed?

However with this said you should not be working on other issues until your malware topic is concluded. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic475036.html/

You should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a Malware Removal Team member, nor should you continue to ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show it the logs you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

I concur with Animal

From your Virus Problem Post

Please do NOT run, install or uninstall any programs, unless instructed to do so.

We ask you to run different tools in a specific order to ensure the malware is completely removed from your machine, and running any additional tools may detect false positives, interfere with our tools, or cause unforeseen damage or system instability.

Just as a For Your Information.

I would leave the PC Doctor 5 installed. It is usually provided by the maker of the computer, HP (Compaq), Lenovo etc.
It is a decent hardware diagnostic program that may be handy in the future. I still have all the software installed that came with my two laptops except for the Trial Versions of Antivirus which were replaced.

Having said that, do nothing to the computer except what your Malware removal specialist asks you to do.
Once you have received the All Clear then any other matters can be handled. It is my belief that all of your problems are malware related and will be cured when the Malware is gone.

Good Luck
