I just got my computer back up and running fixed a virus and I have to run a complete scan of my computer because I know I have a lot of others. Although I have tried all online virus scans and none end up starting for one reason or the other and I tried downloading microsoft antispyware but when I click run nothing comes up. I tried saving to different areas and doing a lot of things but it seems a virus is blocking me from doing anything. Any help on what it might be would be much appreciated.

Welcome to BC. Have you tried running it from Safe Mode with networking? That way if it works it will download updates.

What browser are you using to access the scans?

Most require ActiveX and therefore you must use Internet Explorer - not Firefox or any other Mozilla based browser.

Web based online Antivirus and anti-malware scans: (these can be run regardless of whatever else you are using. You must use Internet Explorer to run these as they require ActiveX to function.)
